I get a lot of questions about my line of work, as I am sure most of us do. In fact, many of my friends and clients think it would be “fun” to be in real estate since they LOVE looking at houses. I thought I would take this opportunity to give you a clear glance into what one really gets out of being in this line of work.
Indeed, it is fun to look at houses…in fact that is a great perk of the job! In addition to looking at houses, we are project managers, counselors, advisors, negotiators, marketers, decorators, organizers, volunteers, strategy planners, and more! I love every aspect of my job, but one benefit, in particular, stands above the rest…and it may not be anything you had ever considered.
Thanks to the amazing clients I have, I get to work with people throughout a long period of time in their lives. As I was at a social gathering recently, surrounded by my past and present clients, it hit me how lucky I am! I get to watch the single person buy or sell their first home, launch their career and experience success in that department. For some, as their advancement in life continues, I may meet their new boy or girlfriend who may later become their spouse…and then later I get to meet their new baby. I have seen many families unfold before my very eyes, careers take off, kids of clients’ graduate, and first-time single home buyers become savvy married real estate investors throughout my career. It is truly a gift to have the opportunity to guide them with their real estate needs as their priorities evolve. I am truly honored to be the trusted advisor, negotiator, counselor, and strategist for my clients and even more, that they bestow upon me the ability to be a part of their lives.
